Cadillac topped the 2009 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), which was recently published. With a score of 89 points, it was the most desirable vehicle brand among American consumers.
This is the first time that Cadillac has finished first in the ACSI study since 2003. It topped luxury brands BMW and Mercedes.
The ACSI study is carried out by the University of Michigan. Its results are based on a survey of 80,000 Americans. It is regarded as one of the most authoritative and credible studies of its kind in North America. Cadillac finished in second place in the ACSI study last year with a score of 85 points.
