Jean Liu-Barnocki

Liu-Barnocki joined GM China in 1999, supporting the company’s Vehicle Sales, Service, and Marketing Department. In 2000, she was appointed brand development analyst for the Buick Division at GM’s global headquarters in Detroit. The following year, she took over as brand analyst for GMC’s Yukon SUV nameplate.

In 2003, Liu-Barnocki became regional sales manager for the General Motors Western Region in California. She returned to Detroit in 2004 as Asian diversity marketing and sales manager. From 2005 through January 2007, she was marketing manager for Saab USA.

Prior to beginning her automotive industry career, Liu-Barnocki worked for Soft Tech Development, IBM China, and the China National Medicines and Health Products Import & Export Corporation.

Liu-Barnocki has a Bachelor of International Business Law degree from the University of International Business & Economics in Beijing and a Master of International Management degree from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, in the United States.
