Precious Stones:21.64 million yuan

An auction of 11 licensed World Expo diamond and jade pieces yesterday earned a combined 21.64 million yuan (US$3.2 million).

The auction attracted about 30 bidders. An anonymous bidder spent 12.6 million yuan on a blunt diamond called "the Star of World Expo." It was the most expensive item.
