Popular Internet Figure
Hi, guys. Long time no see. You know, I’ve been busy with our business, which is going really well in China, so it has been quite hard for me to squeeze in some time for my Expo blog.
Many of you already know that our big boss, Fritz Henderson, just visited China for the first time after taking over as president and CEO of GM. He expressed his great satisfaction with our performance in China. Some of you may have met him at our media briefing last week.
Also last week, with the help of my colleagues, I did my first web chat with media and the general public through our Expo 2010 website.
That was really fun. I have to admit that the questions raised were very diverse. Someone even asked, “How did Fritz reward your great job in China?” My Chinese colleague told me that is a “lei” (thunder) question. I learn a bit more everyday about Chinese Internet culture.

I think the web chat is a great way to communicate to the general public GM’s messages not only about Expo 2010 but about our overall business as well. It is very efficient and direct. For China’s younger generation, the Internet is part of their lives. It has become the most important way for them to gain information. That is also one of the reasons why we launched this website.
My Expo colleagues will continue to organize such chats. Hope you will join us!
Many netizens enthusiastic about Expo 2010 and GM have already become website fans. We also encourage our employees to become bloggers and share with the public their stories about Expo 2010 and their experiences about cars. Stories of all kinds are welcome from anyone who wants to become part of our interactive conversation.
I have to run, but I’ll be back soon with another blog posting. Meanwhile, there are only 190 days to go before the start of the big event!
Take care.
