Time flies, a month has passed since my participation in GM’s Expo Reporter Campaign. What did I do and have I learned during this period of time?

In the past month, I have been to the Shanghai International Studies University, East China Normal University, and Tongji University to promote the campaign. I love all these visits: I feel so relaxed and familiar in the friendly atmosphere on campus. I seldom visit universities in my three years In Shanghai, and this is a good opportunity for me to experience different cultures of these universities, which add much fun to my job.

It was late when I arrived at East China Normal University; the pristine campus in the sunset was filled with a sense of history, and in my colleague’s words: it was “very university" with its thick tall trees, clear river Liwa, as well as streaming students after class, with bags and many on bicycles. Although we were fully loaded with large and small bags and a camera, we really enjoyed it walking in the breezes on campus.

Miss Jean’s speech was wonderful; she shared GM’s Expo history as well as the company’s vision of urban transportation in 2030. After the lecture, she was surrounded with interested students. Unfortunately, I was busy shooting videos for participating students, I could not hear what they were saying, but bursts of laughter from time to time did made the night quite lovely.

One week later, I went to Tongji University to make preparatory small-scale promotions. On entering Tongji, I couldn’t help gasping “so many boys” because most students in my university SISU are girls. This time we went to the suburban campus in Jiading District, it was very beautiful, but it was also quite windy!! The X- Racks could hardly stand in the wind, fortunately, students there were very helpful, and in fact, behind each rack in those videos there were several boys supporting.

Students from the Automobile College turned out to be very professional, whether boy or girl, they can tell a bunch of terms that I might not figure out the rest of my life. I find in our conversation that many of them have had volunteer experience in the automobile industry, which I believe will help them a lot in GM’s Expo Reporter Campaign.

The Expo trip has just started. I also met with some problems and confusion in the activities but fortunately they are all successfully resolved. I can feel my progress and believe I will achieve more.
