"Expo and My Dream"
I once thought everything happened by accident. Accidentally I was admitted to Shanghai International Studies University and spent three years there learning Journalism, accidentally I got an internship in a public relations firm, and accidentally I was asked by my colleagues to work with them on the Expo project. It is not until two weeks’ hard work on the project that I realize it is one of the biggest happy surprises for me to experience the Expo after all these “accidents”.
Before participating in the project, I had the honor go to the Expo Park, and witnessed proposals for theme pavilions of many different cities, including Barcelona, which made me look forward to the Expo even more. But that alone didn’t satisfy me, and what is more exciting of the internship is to have a close-up contact with the Expo.
Part of my job is to promote university students’ participation in the GM Expo Reporter Campaign, the process looks pretty easy;gather application videos from participants, and let netizens decide who the winners are. But to get students actually talk in front of a camera makes me a little frustrated. Luckily the first day went on well because the activity was operated at my Alma mater SISU and it feels good to be back. I introduced the activity, and encouraged everybody to register, at first the freshmen students were a little bit shy but that did not last long, mostly post-90s, their personality of vitality and passion took lead soon after. As a senior student, I was even envious about their great opportunity to show themselves. Holding the camera, I was infected by their enthusiasm, and the voice of "If I were a freshman, I would ……" kept buzzing in my mind.
My relationship with Expo continues. I am looking forward to the following activities, which I hope may help myself grow and help those participating in the activity realize the dream I can’t achieve through their report on GM-SAIC pavilion.
